Invitation to Minister Clark to join us for a walk around our neighbourhood – May 2019

The following letter was sent to Minister Steve Clark, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing. We are inviting Minister Clark to join us for a walk in our neighbourhood, to witness the impact development has had in our community.

May 23, 2019

Dear Minister Clark,

We are representatives of a group of Residents’ Associations located in the greater Yonge-Eglinton area of Toronto.

We urge you to accept this invitation to join us for a walk around our neighbourhood to witness the real-life impacts of the rampant development that has/is taking place in our community.

This would give you an opportunity to experience, first-hand, what tens of thousands of Ontario residents experience every day – before you make your decision regarding OPA 405 Midtown in Focus.

What you will see here will show you why we residents so sorely need the good planning principles Midtown in Focus has put in place and why local voters are so keen to see it become law.

The decision date (June 6) is looming but we will do everything possible to accommodate your schedule.

To arrange this vital community tour, kindly respond to Geri Berholz at Âmoc1695361407.sreg1695361407or@zl1695361407ohreb1695361407ireg1695361407or by calling 416-720-1638.

Respectfully,

Geri Berholz and Terrence O’Sullivan, Co-Chairs Republic Residents’ Association (RRA)

Meraj Ahmed, President, Quantum Owners & Residents Association (QuORA)

Andy Gort, President, South Eglinton Ratepayers’ and Residents’ Association (SERRA)
