Send Letter to City Council

Send letter to Council on Housing Action Plan

City Council and the Mayor

We urgently request that item CC2.1 2023 Housing Action Plan be referred to the Planning and Housing Committee, the normal process of democratic decision-making to provide for public input to this critical initiative!

Mayor John Tory is asking for approval of a multi-part Housing Action Plan by City Council on December 14. The 2023 Housing Action Plan to enable market, non-market and hybrid housing production in order to achieve or exceed the provincial housing target of 285,000 new homes over the next 10 years, and report to the Executive Committee no later than March 2023 on how the Mayor’s Plan can be actioned.

It is not appropriate or fair to bring forward a complex program without a staff report or an opportunity for the public to comment. John Tory must listen to the people!
