In Case You Missed It – We’ve turned to a new chapter in the history of our residents’ association.
- September 8, 1965 – SERA (South Eglinton Ratepayers’ Association)
- November 2, 1981 – SERRA (South Eglinton Ratepayers’ and Residents’ Association)
- January 20, 2022 – SEDRA (South Eglinton Davisville Residents’ Association)
At our AGM on January 20, 2022, we proposed a change to our organization’s name, which was passed by attending members.
With this change, we are excited to launch our new website sedratoronto.ca which we hope you’ll visit for information about our new name, our community, and about becoming a SEDRA member in 2022 (if you’re not already a member).
You’ll notice this transitional change across our Twitter and Facebook social channels as well.
Also at the meeting, the SEDRA board was re-elected with the exception of outgoing President Andy Gort, who stepped into a past president role. Andy’s work as SERRA president over the last 8 years has had a massive impact on our community and organization, and we’d like to again thank him for his passion, time and commitment through the years. We are grateful this isn’t goodbye, as Andy will remain involved in existing projects such as Canada Square.
While some things change, others remain the same – including our renewed commitment to promoting the interests of our neighbourhood with a focus on complete community, quality of life, climate change and safety (themes that we heard many times during the AGM).
For those who were not able to attend, or for those who would like to review the information shared last night, please visit our new website for details. Please note that our current website will still be active for a transitional period of time.
