Public Consultation about the future of Canada Square – Wednesday June 7th at 6PM

The City of Toronto holds public consultations as a way to engage residents in the life of their city.

This meeting is about the proposal to amend the Official Plan to remove the requirement for a new public street to allow for an expanded public park, and to alter the size of public squares.

The proposal is to amend the Zoning By-law to permit a mixed-use development consisting of 5 new tall buildings, the retention of the existing building at 2200 Yonge Street, and a new public park. The proposal consists of 72,850 square metres of non-residential floor area and 2,892 residential units.
