Construction Liaison Committee (CLC)

Metrolinx and Crosslinx Transit Solutions Construction Liaison Committee (CLC)

Construction activities at the 15 underground Eglinton Crosstown LRT station sites are underway. Many of the new turning restrictions on the main north-south arterial roads have made getting around our neighbourhood even more challenging for local residents and drivers taking side streets to avoid the traffic.

The Metrolinx team would like to work with the local community and provide as much information as possible and be proactive with communications so residents are aware of the construction activities related to the project. For this reason, a Construction Liaison Committee (CLC) has been formed with local representatives who will act on behalf of the residents and businesses in the community. The committee will meet regularly over the next 12 – 18 months, provide feedback to the project team, and formally communicate back to their respective groups.

SERRA board member Paul Newbigging and SERRA volunteer Ray Miller have kindly agreed to participate on the CLC for the Eglinton (Yonge) and Mount Pleasant stations. Unfortunately, a Construction Liaison Committee does not make construction issues go away, but it can provide feedback to mitigate the worst construction issues.
